A Portraiture Pop-Up

Popping up at our 40 Wooster space, Goodness + Truth Studio sets up their moveable portrait project for two days only. Goodness + Truth Studio is the public tintype project of Brooklyn, NYC-based artist Eric Thornton, which uses this 19th-century medium for contemporary portraiture. “We are only half-joking when we refer to the tintype as the original Polaroid; it is conspicuously labor-intensive, and yet practically instant. The sitter sees the object being made start to finish, and the process culminates with them witnessing their own visage emerge, quite literally, from the ether. The process earned its moniker “the dark art” because to the uninitiated, it seems like magic. To us, it still does!”

Book your portrait session here https://www.goodnessandtruthstudio.com/booking-1 to secure a spot (the next pop-up will be on October 15).
