Start 2024 off with your very own manga portrait. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, artist Remi Yamamoto moved to NYC in 2017 where she began drawing manga and documenting her life in the city (she's also training as a sushi chef). On January 27, from 1 pm – 3 pm, Remi will be in residence at NowHere offering complimentary manga portraits on a first-come, first-served basis. Remi Yamamoto
Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1989, she moved to the U.S. in 2017 as an expatriate for a company and began drawing manga about life in New York. She has started independently working as a manga artist since 2021. While working as a manga artist, she also spends her days training as a sushi chef. She loves movies, music, and alcohol. Always looking for work!
